Message Just throwing this out here to see if anyone knows of a good chrome shop in the Milwaukee/Chicago/Madison area. Being the land of Harley's, you'd think I would have no problem finding a good shop. Unfortunately, of the 5 or 6 bike shops I went to, not one of them said they (or the place they send stuff to) would touch "car parts". I always get a half-arsed explanation as to why. Basically, I want to have an upper plenum chromed, along with a few very small parts. I know it's possible, as one of the vendors offers this service... not to mention I've seen quite a few posted on here as of late. Reason I want *mine* chromed is because I'm doing some custom work to it before-hand, so it's not just a matter of swapping cores... not to mention I'm tired of constantly polishing bare aluminum (mine will be up for sale shortly). So, if anyone knows of a place I could have this done with minimal turn-around time, some contact info would be greatly appreciated.

And so people look, here's two bad pics of the progress so far. It's missing a few bits and pieces here and there. Almost done with 80 grit, but it goes much, much quicker after removing the initial casting/80 grit stage.

And part of the reason I'm swapping plenums is this:

Should have the last of the parts for the fuel set-up by weeks end. Research led me to believe that the Aeromotive 10 micron paper element should be sufficient when compared with stock.

This is one of Wisconsin's two seasons which lasts approximately 9 months. The other season is the ROAD CONSTRUCTION season, lasting roughly 3 months.
